A method is presented to recover a bandpass signal through the minimum number of its samples. It is shown how this method can be applied to perform a digital bandpass filtering of a continuous wide-spectrum signal and subsequent reconstruction of the filtered signal using the minimum theoretical number of samples. Some different implementations of this technique are shown. Some experimental results are reported referring to the application of the above technique to the bandpass filtering of some biomedical signals (EEG).

Abstract

A method is presented to recover a bandpass signal through the minimum number of its samples. It is shown how this method can be applied to perform a digital bandpass filtering of a continuous wide-spectrum signal and subsequent reconstruction of the filtered signal using the minimum theoretical number of samples. Some different implementations of this technique are shown. Some experimental results are reported referring to the application of the above technique to the bandpass filtering of some biomedical signals (EEG).
