Valutare e migliorare i processi: applicazione del Sei Sigma in ambito sanitario

The work deals with the application of Six Sigma approach to healthcare. Healthcare have become a very strategic sector for most of the government due to the increase of the mean age of the people and the ever demanding related healthcare issues. To control the expenses and provide top level and safe services is the challenge of next decade. This work will show an application of the Six Sigma approach to the Emergency Department of a public hospital. In this case the Six Sigma has been used both to evaluate the “health” of the main processes thanks to a set of indicators and to provide a robust tool to analyze the data and provide corrective actions.
