Late Neogene and Quaternary biodiversity and evolution: Regional developments and interregional correlations. Proceedings of the 18th International Senckenberg Conference (VI International Palaeontological Colloquium in Weimar) Volume I

The 18th International Senckenberg Conference (which was also the IV International Palaeontological Colloquium) was held in Weimar on April 25-30, 2004, with the general title "Late Neogene and Quaternary biodiversity and evolution: Regional developments and interregional correlations" and was hosted by the Senckenberg Research Station of Quaternary Palaeontology. The conference, as well as the two subsequent proceedings volumnes containing the scientific results of this very successful meeting, are dedicated to Hans-Dietrich Kahlke, fouder of the Weimar institute and one of the senior distinguished leaders of interdisciplinary Quaternary palaeontological reasearch in Eurasia, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
