We propose a method to solve a class of terminating hypergeometric series by using generating functions and Lagrange inversion formula. Although the approach is not so general as the WZ-method, nonetheless it is rather effective and succeeds in solving sums that cannot be treated by similar methods, as the ones proposed for the solutions of Gosper's strange identities.

Abstract
We propose a method to solve a class of terminating hypergeometric series by using generating functions and Lagrange inversion formula. Although the approach is not so general as the WZ-method, nonetheless it is rather effective and succeeds in solving sums that cannot be treated by similar methods, as the ones proposed for the solutions of Gosper's strange identities.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
