Goal of this work was to evaluate the effect of stilbenoids extracts, mainly enriched in epsilon and delta viniferins, obtained from Vitis vinifera L., on the proliferation of 3 cell lines of human breast cancer, HCC1954, HCC1500, MCF7. Human fibroblasts (MRC5) were used to evaluate the extract cytotoxicity in normal, non-tumour cells. To this aim, cell cultures (callus) from preselected cvs of Vitis vinifera L., such as Malvasia, Italia, and Alphonse Lavallé, were elicited with MeJA (Methyl jasmonate) and treated to obtain the enriched and characterized extracts used for the biological tests. Pure trans-resveratrol was chosen as reference molecule to compared the antitumoral activity of these extracts. All the investigated extracts showed antiproliferative activity on the selected tumour cell lines and the extract from Alphonse Lavallé (AL) cultivar was the most active
