This article refers to results of a trial done in Central Italy that compared a native sward and the mixture Cynodon dactylon + Trifolium brachycalycinum as cover for grazed firebreaks. The mixture gave much better results than the native sward and it was shown to have all the sought parameters, thus it can be recommended for many Mediterranean firebreaks.
