The treatment of gingival recession is a common request in daily periodontal practice. In this case series study, 13 Miller class I and II gingival recessions (mean baseline recession 2.8 ± 0.9 mm) in 11 patients were treated with the aid of operative microscope by means of different root coverage procedures. At the 1 year follow-up, the mean percentage of root coverage was 95 %. Eleven defects (85 %) reported complete root coverage (CRC). When an aesthetic assessment of the final outcomes was performed by using root coverage esthetic score (RES), 3 sites (21 %) reached the 10-perfect score. Achieved clinical outcomes suggest that operative microscope may be a useful tool in periodontal plastic surgery.

Abstract
Achieved clinical outcomes suggest that operative microscope may be a useful tool in periodontal plastic surgery.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
