Monitoraggio sanitario di famiglie di api allevate con metodo biologico e trattate con medicina integrata

The aim of this work is testing the efficiency of homeopathy to improve the resistance of bee families. 20 hives was divided at random in two groups: 10 were treated with Calcarea Sulphurica 200 CH (C) and 10 received only water (W). To control Varroasis, both were treated with block brood and Api-Bioxal (based on oxalic acid). We recorded the incidences of Varroa destructor by the count of natural mite fall, and the presence of Nosema spp. and virus by PCR. We evaluated the honey production weighing beehives and supers. All data were analyzed with ANOVA. After the block brood, natural mite fall diminished in the C group, but only after Api-Bioxal this difference became significant. In the first time, Nosema increased in the C group, but after completely disappeared. Some virus showed significant difference between groups. Beehive weight didn’t’ show significant differences between groups. The results could indicate the efficiency of homeopathic treatments, to control Varroasis.
