PhD thesis concerning two molecules belonging to the family of the so called Single Molecule Magnet (SMM). The study has been focused on the TbPc2 and the Fe4Ph molecules. In the first case magnetometry techniques as well as the muon spin relaxation technique have been employed for the magnetic characterization of TbPc2 thick films sublimated on surfaces. A study concerning the sublimation of such SMM on the cobalt magnetic substrate has been also reported. In the case of the Fe4Ph SMM the study has been focused on the characterization of thin film evaporated on gold employing photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning tunnelling microscopy and inelastic tunnelling spectroscopy.
