The purpose of the study was analyzing risk factors in deliberate self-harm to plan preventive actions. Data analysis confirms an association between cutting and alcohol use, sexual harassments, failure, threatening other people, family communication absence, a negative relationship with the body and suicide attempts, besides noticing the existence of the behaviour in males, too. To instruct teachers and to fight negative stereotypes of the behavior is basic.
