Architettura Sacra. Paolo Zermani

Il libro presenta, attraverso testi, schizzi, disegni, modelli e foto, alcune opere e progetti scelti di Paolo Zermani, dedicati all’architettura sacra: far i quali dalla Cappella sul mare a Malta (1989), al Famedio di sepoltura degli uomini illustri nel cimitero monumentale di Torino (1989), al Mausoleo dei Primi Cristiani sul Bastione del Sangallo a Roma (1994), alla Chiesa di San Gaetano a Gioia Tauro (2008-2013), ai progetti realizzati come la Chiesa di San Giovanni a Perugia (1997-2006), il Cimitero di Sansepolcro (1997-2013), il Tempio di cremazione di Parma (2010) e la Cappella nel bosco a Varano dei Marchesi (2012). Il corpus delle opere presentate descrive il percorso di ricerca sin qui compiuto da Zermani, un cammino lungo oltre vent’anni, che lo ha visto confrontarsi ripetutamente con il complesso tema dell’architettura sacra e, attraverso questa, con il paesaggio italiano e occidentale in trasformazione rilevando la crisi delle sue misure. (testo:italiano e inglese) The book presents, through texts, sketches, drawings, models and photographs, some works and projects chosen by Paolo Zermani, dedicated to architecture sacred to them from the Chapel by the sea in Malta (1989), the memorial chapel burial of famous men monumental cemetery in Turin (1989), the Mausoleum of the First Christians on the Bastion Sangallo in Rome (1994), the Church of San Gaetano in Gioia Tauro (2008-2013), for projects such as the Church of San Giovanni in Perugia (1997-2006), Cemetery Sansepolcro (1997-2013), the Temple of cremation of Parma (2010) and the chapel in the woods in Varano Marchesi (2012). The corpus of the works presented describes the search path so far accomplished by Zermani, a long journey over twenty years, which saw him repeatedly confronted with the complex theme of sacred and, through this, with the Italian landscape and Western detecting the transformation of its crisis measures.
