Cyberbullying has become a widely used term, and the relevant literature has reported several criteria to define what cyberbullying is, but no empirical studies have tested their relevance. There are also differences across countries on the meaning and the definition of this behavior. Our study aimed to investigate systematically the role of 5 criteria in use in cyberbullying definitions, across 6 different European countries.
