In this text, we focus on some issues of this research and, in particular, on the role of space, es-pecially urban public space, as a physical and symbolic place of social and political change. The chapter presents the public spaces of the centre of Tunis where the main events of the Revolution of 2011 took place (demonstrations, occupations, mass gatherings etc.), with the aim of investigating the memory of what happened. Following the observation of the practices taking place during our stay in Tunis, we wanted to identify the signs of a change in the perceptions and the uses of public urban space, which from being a space of injustice, inequality and oppression, is then perceived, conceived and lived (to quote the Lefebvrian triad; Lefebvre, 1974) as a space of contestation, openness and possibility. Exploring the practices that occur in the public space two years after the Revolution becomes a way not only to bring into existence a political change, but also a social and spatial change.

Abstract
Exploring the practices that occur in the public space two years after the Revolution becomes a way not only to bring into existence a political change, but also a social and spatial change.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
