Analisi e valutazione sociale. Accessibilità ambientale-configurazionale del Parco

This chapter focus on the analysis of accessibility to the paths’ network of Parco di Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli in Tuscany as it was methodologically proposed in the chapter 6. The accessibility analysis allows to highlight the integration of paths networks, how people reach the node of services, how different users can walk, and then enjoy, the park. The method employed considers the mapping of paths in a GIS platform, the configurational analysis of the spatial model of the paths network, the check of accessibility for impaired users. The spatial analysis shown the degree of local and global accessibility of paths, the degree of potential accessibility of linkages among the different areas of the park, and the degree of intelligibility of park spatial system. The check of accessibility was carried out in selected paths by a group composed by different impaired users categories that validated the surveys of architectural barriers carried out by experts technicians. The survey sheets produced were used to create a map of performance accessibility of paths in the MSRM Park. The previous analyses merge into a map representing an indicator of environmental accessibility useful to monitor the level of accessibility and propose strategies in the Management Plan of the Park to improve the accessibility of paths network.
