The relevance of the creative economy continues to grow in recent years and important synergies with tourism are emerging, offering considerable potential for growing demand and developing new products, experiences and markets. This contemporary debate focuses on the shift from conventional models of cultural tourism to new models of creative tourism based on intangible culture and contemporary creativity. The aim of this chapter is to examine the relationship between tourism and creativity, with a specific focus on cultural and creative industries. The study investigates the patterns of clustering and co-locations of firms in tourism and CCIs and their contribution to new firm formation through a case study of Tuscany.
