Abstract
Historically the mediterrean cities had strongly connected with their surrounding regional context not only in terms of resources exploitation but accordingly with a mutual process of settlements and economies resilience enhancement. That although a wide range of urban forms and functional mix entailed a common feature of relevance of proximity relationships in a multifunctional urban space. After the specialization of cities and urban spaces and the de-territorialization produced by the joint effects of modernity and mature capitalist economy, bioregional paradigm seems to show some helpful methodological and operational hints for the recovery of sustainable urban and settlements form that best fit with the calls for more resilient and sustainable cities.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
