Sostenibilità e Progetto: metodi e strumenti per la progettazione di prodotti e/o servizi - Sustainability and Design: methods and tools for products and/or service design

ENG The present study takes into account both methods and tools which are traditionally used as a support to sustainability-oriented design, such as Life Cycle Design and Life Cycle Assessment, and methods and tools which are deemed promising as the Cradle to Cradle concept, the Product Service System, the Biomimicry (biomimicry), the Social Innovation and the Design Thinking. Some of these tools have been applied over the course of two research projects concerning the design of new models of camper and freezer. A reflection about the methods and the instruments analysed has been made in the end, by integrating them into a hypothetical design flow with the aim of understanding how these do foster the project fertilization. The same action was done for research projects in order to map the design process involved and thus to identify the various contributions given by methods and tools. It is further advanced a hypothesis about how some of these tools can be integrated to facilitate the design flow between multiple participants. ITA Nella ricerca vengono presi in analisi sia i metodi e gli strumenti tradizionalmente usati come supporto alla progettazione orientata alla sostenibilità, come il Life Cycle Design e il Life Cycle Assessment, sia i metodi e gli strumenti ritenuti promettenti, come il concetto di Cradle to Cradle, il Product Service System, la Biomimicry (biomimetica), l’Innovazione sociale e il Design Thinking. Alcuni di questi strumenti sono stati applicati durante due progetti di ricerca che hanno riguardato la progettazione di un nuovo modello di congelatore ed un nuovo modello di camper. Al termine dell’analisi è stata fatta una riflessione sui metodi e gli strumenti analizzati, andandoli ad inserire in un ipotetico flusso progettuale con lo scopo di comprendere come questi favoriscano la fecondazione del progetto. La stessa azione è stata compiuta per i progetti di ricerca al fine di mappare il processo progettuale attuato e quindi individuare i vari contributi dati dai metodi e dagli strumenti. Viene inoltre avanzata un’ipotesi di come alcuni di questi strumenti possono essere integrati per favorire il flusso progettuale tra più attori.
