Accurate modeling of complicated dynamic phenomena characterizing rotating machineries represents a critical aspect in the rotor dynamic field. A correct prediction of rotor behavior is fundamental to identify safe operating conditions avoiding unstable operating range that may lead to erroneous project solution or possible unwanted consequences for the plant. Unlike established procedures based on existing methodologies often requiring expensive computational time and/or unwanted level of detail, this work attempts to rise the requirement of a new method leveraging a high level of accuracy / high computationally efficient method emphasizing a valuable match between experimental and numerical results which confirms the importance of a proper definition of the complex transfer function.

Abstract
