La necropoli del Bronzo Antico di loc. Arano, Cellore di Illasi, Verona (2007)

In this paper we present the overall analysis of the archaeological data of the site of Arano (Cellore di Illasi – VR), that has been object of an important preventive archaeological excavation carried out by the Soprintendenza per i beni archeologici del Veneto, Nucleo Operativo di Verona (2007). Until now the site has been published only partially. The huge radiocarbon dating program AMS-14C of the necropolis and the analysis of the chemical composition of some metal grave goods, have been the starting point to a proper data interpretation, and now the framework can be completed with the global analysis of the archaeological complex and with the first results of the anthropological studies carried out on this population. The archaeological data will be supported by some anthropological informations. This work presents some data concerning the biological structure of the analyzed sample, like sex and age at death.
