Pratiche, linguaggi e teorie della delegittimazione politica. Introduzione.

The issue concerning political delegitimation is object of a scientific debate aiming at understanding the different factors that are involved. The linguistic aspects, the discourse and pragmatic strategies relate with the suggestions coming from historical and cultural considerations. Delegitimation – on a par with other types of political discourse – is largely grounded on communicative strategies directed to manipulate meanings and values and to convince people and, more in-depth, to shed light on the values and the meanings that are shared in the social groups. It privileges the rhetorical devices od discourse by using linguistic tools and specialized communicative procedures. In the discourses and in the texts of politicians relevant in the Italian history these features in a recognizable way providing interesting elements for a critical and comparative analysis of the political communication.
