The breaking of daylight recalls the divine salvation and victory over darkness and the monsters of the abyss. The element of light often appears in wisdom literature. Another potent event connected to light is the proclamation of justice, in particular in the legal and prophetic writings. Widely associated with light is also the reference to healing, health and life for Israel and for all peoples.
