Abstract
This trip to Peking offers our study group a rare opportunity to apply the knowledge and experience related to laser scanning technology, built up mainly in the last four years of work, to the surveying of a masterpiece of eastern architecture. An architecture which is profoundly different from what we are used to. While laser scanning is now reasonably established as a method of surveying in the academic and scientific sphere, it is less so in the world of commercial surveying particularly in construction surveying where only a few specialised companies able to perform surveys using such instrumentation exist. As regards working protocols, while remaining within the general parameters dictated by the very functions of the instruments, each working group has tried to personalise them, adapting them to their own specific research goals.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
