Abstract

The new frontier of ecology crosses the green economy toward a concept that overturns the economy and production, a new model developed by the name of Blue Economy. It’s inspired by natural ecosystems, from regeneration and reusing, is based on the development of physical principles, using scientific techniques such as bio-mimicry, which is based on the study and imitation of the characteristics of living species to find new production techniques and improve existing ones, reducing to zero CO2 emissions. The primary goal of the Blue Economy is to identify examples in nature where organic recycling or up-cycling occurs and mimic these processes to find out where and how the waste that we generate can be innovatively used again, you can get 100% recovery of the materials used in production processes and therefore all the waste, not only for energy but also as a conversion in organic materials, such as paper, hemp, wool, straw, textiles, throughout the supply chain related to the cultivation and construction. The approach proposed here, assumes that the territory, with its cultural characteristics, architectural and environmental, can be considered as a unicum, where through strategies and models at different levels, it can grow the economy of the territory through projects sustainability and development. Across different levels of depth, we can implement a new programming of the integrated territory, experimenting strategies and networks involving the various organization systems. Specifically, we conducted a study of strategy and economic feasibility for municipalities and local businesses of the Casentino. The territory is very complex from different levels, historical, architectural and natural, it has many values and emergencies that can be put in the system to ensure that it may encourage a new economic process in the territory.
