Within the project Pure - productivity and urban renewal in East Jerusalem, which involves the design of an urban neighborhood of East Jerusalem, it was necessary to conduct the preliminary analysis in order to prepare a coherent action with the current state of conservation of the buildings. Starting from the drawings made by the laser scanner survey, the architectural and structural survey of building interiors was integrated. Analysis of the deformation of the wall edges and of the lesions was carried out. The whole set of analyzes provided for a framework of disadvantages to defne how to intervene on the city and to identify appropriate interventions for the structural safety of each single building. The contribution is based on the methodologies used for the analysis, starting from the experiences carried out on the analysis of historic centers and the assessment of the seismic risk of central Italy in the areas affected by the earthquake, describing signifcant survey and structural analysis conducted in situ, to the intervention guidelines on each single building.
