Albagino. Per una lettura del paesaggio sacro etrusco - Albagino. Toward an understanding of the Etruscan sacred landscape

The recent discovery of bronze votive statuettes on a small plateau in Albagino, about six kilometers north-east of the Futa Pass, may reveal a new sacred space that might be connected to a series of rural Etruscan votive deposits in the northern Appennines. In each of the examined sites the determining element of the sacred space remains unchanged: the landscape constitutes the architecture of the open-air sanctuaries.
