This chapter introduces a framework that captures the different generic configurations of value constellations along the servitization continuum. The different value constellations address the life-cycles of capital goods and product service systems with services of varying complexity. The chapter presents the eight archetypical constellations identified and provides illustrative examples of such offerings. The chapter concludes with a discussion on how managers can use the framework in developing and positioning their service-offering portfolio.
