This paper mainly discusses the role of transitions in adult education with a specific focus on young transition from the Master’s Degree Course towards the first important job. We will use a pedagogical perspective to examine how the Higher Education institutes facilitate young adults to transit their knowledge and skills into workplace and their professions. We illustrate case studies from four countries (i.e. Portugal, Italy, China and South Korea) to provide an overview of the research on that topic. The authors worked together during the International Winter School that took place on February 2016 at the University of Würzburg within the Erasmus+ Project Comparative Studies on Adult and Lifelong Learning (COMPALL). One of the main aims of the project is to create an International community of Adult Education that is able to compare and learn from the best practices at global level. In detail, the didactical model of Winter School is divided in two main parts. During the first one, theories and approaches are introduced for analysing European and international lifelong learning strategies. In the second one, the work focuses on the comparison of selected topics in adult education in small groups. Within this part, the authors explored and debated young adults’ transition from university to labour market as a key topic for the educational studies. In this sense, the paper is a glance at different perspectives on the results of comparative groupwork.

Abstract
