Voatsyperifery is the local name of a wild type of pepper that grows in Madagascar’s forests that consists in a mix of different varieties of no-identified pepper grains. To start a domestication program, the fruits coming from two different species recently classified, Piper Malgassicum and Piper Tsaratsotrae, were characterized in terms of main non-volatile and volatile bioactive compounds.
