The article starts with a general overview of the demographic, political and sociolinguistic situation of various Romani groups in Croatia. At the heart of the article is a list of 13 words that have been borrowed from Romani into colloquial Croatian: the analysis is dedicated to possible sources of these loans, giving preference to some Romani dialects, their semantic typology, and usage in the Croatian language.
