The article provides a new edition and interpretation of col. IV of the Derveni Papyrus, which contains a quotation from Heraclitus (B3 and B94 DK). The ultimate aim of the paper is twofold: it sheds some new light both on the contents of the column, and on its place in the papyrus as a whole. Moreover, it offers some new insights about the text of Heraclitus, and its relation to Heraclitus’ other known fragments.
