The chapter presents the final results of Public Archaeology projects in Jordan (Shawbak - Ma'an) and Italy (Arcidosso - Tuscany), concerning social engagement and social-economic valorization of archaeological research carried out by Florence University team of Medieval Archaeologists in the same areas. Background, Methodology and Results are discussed in the framework of the possibility of a structural integration of Public Archaeology within the set of methodologies of Rural Development at a Euro-Mediterranean scale.
