Bruno Benedetto Rossi (1905-1933)

Expelled from the University of Padua in 1938, the physicist B. Rossi from the Arcetri school was 33 years old, with an extraordinary international reputation and contacts and experiments abroad,and had just married. With his young wife Nora Lombroso, he emigrated at once: first to Copenhagen, then to Manchester, and to the United States. Correspondence with New York and London reveals almost a competition to be able to have «one of the giants»of physics in the 20th century, whom fascism was hounding for the so-called defence of the race.
