Passion-based Entrepreneurship as an emerging phenomenon for local development

This article aims to outline the state of the art of the research effort of a group of researchers from some European countries (including Italy, France and Sweden) and with different research backgrounds (in business marketing, innovation, consumer culture and entrepreneurship), which gave rise to a set of workshops organized with different formats (in Florence in 2015 and 2017, in Uppsala 2018 and in Milan 2019) focusing on the connection between passion and entrepreneurship. This extended abstract, co-authored by the components of this group working in Italian universities, seeks to define the reasons of interest for the topic, take stock of the work carried out so far and identify possible paths for continuing this line of research.
