The importance of the Italian cultural heritage lexicon goes far beyond the borders of language communities and it is in fact a subject of interest for scholars belonging to different disciplines (such as art history, literature, linguistics), professionals (i.e. translators, tour operators, event organizers) and students training in these disciplines or professions. The “Cultural Heritage Lexicon” Research Unit (also known as Lessico dei Beni Culturali or LBC) aims to create useful tools for the subjects mentioned above, focusing on the art of Florence and Tuscany. In this chapter, important results of this work will be described, namely the first six corpora of the Cultural Heritage Lexicon, freely available online, and the work that led to their creation.

Abstract
The importance of the Italian cultural heritage lexicon goes far beyond the borders of language communities and it is in fact a subject of interest for scholars belonging to different disciplines (such as art history, literature, linguistics), professionals (i.e. translators, tour operators, event organizers) and students training in these disciplines or professions. The “Cultural Heritage Lexicon” Research Unit (also known as Lessico dei Beni Culturali or LBC) aims to create useful tools for the subjects mentioned above, focusing on the art of Florence and Tuscany. In this chapter, important results of this work will be described, namely the first six corpora of the Cultural Heritage Lexicon, freely available online, and the work that led to their creation.I documenti in FLORE sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
