Core Self-Evaluation

Entry about Core Self-Evaluation: Core self-evaluation can be defined as positive self-concept in terms of self-esteem, general self-efficacy, absence of pessimism, locus of control. Core self-evaluation emerged as a different construct with respect to personality traits and positive/negative affectivity. Research showed associations between core self-evaluation and many different organizational outcomes, traditionally with job satisfaction and job performance but also with job stress, job burnout, economic success. Core self-evaluation is also associated with different outcomes relative to vocational fields and well-being of individuals. Approaches to dealing with core self-evaluation are focused on enhancing the different components of the core self-evaluation construct.
