The works of the artist and designer Luigi Masecchia (born in Naples in 1975 and trained between Naples, Milan and Barcelona), in the context of Street Art, represent a dimension of interesting artistic works with original aspects. Unlike the vast majority of Street Art products, Masecchia's works do not present themselves as murals, stencils, stickers, etc. but they are mosaics composed with a particular object of urban waste: the bottle cap, in particular the metal cap called "crown". With this waste material, recycled by Masecchia, the artist wants his work to reconstruct missing parts of urban structures, from the road surface to the walls of public walls, etc., creating a synergistic short-circuit between public utility and work of Art. Luigi Masecchia's work expands in different ways when it is projected into a "procedural" and social value, through the association Tappost, with which the artist involves, in laboratory work, children with disabilities, so as to help them to to develop new socialization processes, new skills and awareness of hand making, culture and Contemporary Art.
