The research aims to analyze a corpus of reviews published in French by anonymous contributors (tourists, travelers, etc.) on TripAdvisor, a portal for sharing tourist information, in the decade 2010-2020. The analysis of the reviews left on the page of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore shows the relationship between profane uses of terminologies and the pragmatic and persuasive purposes of the tourist review as a textual typology.
