In the last decades, society has moved away from the ensured progress to head towards an extraordinary uncertainty. In fact, especially in the light of social distancing experienced because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the risk of a collapse of values and of the current social structure is tangible, and for this reason, today it is important to perceive the progress as a challenge and a possible achievement, as a product of our choices and our will, to develop renewal skills proper to humanity. It is necessary to reconsider the idea of progress through a new culture and a new anthropology, since humanity is asked to get out of the age of war and unconditional exploitation in nature to create a collaborative game paradigm, finally with positive-sum outcomes. Obviously, it is not enough to regenerate a culture of tolerance, it is essential to go further, trying to conceive and live the global community in a positive way. A ‘culture of encounter’ has to grow, characterised by comprehension, connection, hybridisation and constructive dialogue. Without these features, there is no culture, no social life, no spirituality or planning. Consequently, it is crucial to develop and redesign the sense of belonging shared by all the populations and territories, as an ethical task fundamental to build, following Edgar Morin’s phrase, a “Earth civilisation” which promotes an anthropological development with a sustainable coexistence.

Abstract
Consequently, it is crucial to develop and redesign the sense of belonging shared by all the populations and territories, as an ethical task fundamental to build, following Edgar Morin’s phrase, a “Earth civilisation” which promotes an anthropological development with a sustainable coexistence.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
