Fine del diritto? L’intelligenza artificiale e il futuro del giurista

We’ve entered the threshold of an epoch-making change. Artificial intelligence will have a definitive impact on law, imposing a drastic reconsideration of its practice, if not even of its very nature. In a few years’ time, it will be necessary to work out new ways of drafting and applying rules, to bring in new legal concepts and to test the validity of a long series of established principles. Will the actual possibility of a computational law, expressed in machine language, represent the “end of Law”? Will the day come when intelligent machines will offer more efficient and cost-effective legal services than those offered by human lawyers? Are we going to achieve the dream (or nightmare) of an emotionless automated judge?
