In situ monitoring is essential to get a better understanding of landslides and evaluate deformation trends, support the design of stabilization works and verify their effectiveness over time, contribute to a proper urban planning and activate procedures of early warning to protect human lives. These Guidelines aim to harmonize procedures and provide references and criteria for the design, installation, management and maintenance of landslide monitoring networks, as well as for the dissemination of data. They address the following issues: value and limits of the different types of monitoring networks, technical details of the instrumentation, installation, data acquisition, transmission and archiving systems, significance and limits of thresholds/scenarios for landslide prediction. The guidelines are intended to be a reference tool for those who operate in the field of landslide monitoring and control, such as Public Administrations, infrastructure network managers, professionals.

Abstract
The guidelines are intended to be a reference tool for those who operate in the field of landslide monitoring and control, such as Public Administrations, infrastructure network managers, professionals.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
