Phenomenology as a whole is pervaded and justified by a series of spatial metaphors. The foundation of this approach is the thesis of the priority of determination at the expense of indeterminacy. This determination can in turn be read in terms of invariance in variation, a concept that refers to three further concepts: the present, presence and extension. This contribution attempts to identify an alternative phenomenological scenario, in which the concept of determination is replaced with that of disposition, the principle of variance in variation with that of duration and the notions of presence, the present and extension with those of power, memory and physical intentionality.

Abstract
Phenomenology as a whole is pervaded and justified by a series of spatial metaphors. The foundation of this approach is the thesis of the priority of determination at the expense of indeterminacy. This determination can in turn be read in terms of invariance in variation, a concept that refers to three further concepts: the present, presence and extension. This contribution attempts to identify an alternative phenomenological scenario, in which the concept of determination is replaced with that of disposition, the principle of variance in variation with that of duration and the notions of presence, the present and extension with those of power, memory and physical intentionality.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
