Sul confine –On the Edge collects the urban design projects produced within a seminar promoted by the Kent State University Florence Center, College of Architecture and Environmental Design and by the Degree Course in Architecture at the University of Florence. The workshop had as its theme the intervention on two areas in the ancient hamlet of Magliano in Tuscany (Grosseto). Following a plurality of theoreti- cal and formal approaches, the compositional exercises presented here are based on a critical reading of the historical, physical and anthropological conditions of the plac- es subjected to the hypotheses of transformation.
