La Ricostruzione e il “boom economico” nel «Bollettino della Camera di Commercio di Firenze» (1946-1964)

Il saggio ricostruisce il paesaggio urbano di Firenze negli anni successivi alla seconda guerra mondiale e l'articolazione del tessuto produttivo della sua provincia nel periodo compreso tra la Ricostruzione e il "boom economico". Esplora una fonte fino ad oggi poco utilizzata - il "Bollettino economico della Camera di commercio di Firenze" (1946-1964) - per riportare l'attenzione degli studi sull'evoluzione della topografia economica e sociale della città, di cui resta poco studiato e, in parte, rimosso il contributo all'industrializzazione. Al centro del contributo è la relazione tra la realtà urbana intesa come città costruita (e anche "dissipativa" dal punto di vista ambientale e delle risorse del territorio) e le attività umane in essa collocate, con particolare attenzione ad artigianato, commercio, turismo e consumi. The essay reconstructs the urban landscape of Florence in the years following the Second World War and the articulation of the entreprise system of its province in the period between Reconstruction and the ‘economic boom’. It explores a hitherto little-used source: the ‘Economic Bulletin of the Florence Chamber of Commerce’ (1946-1964) in order to focus attention on the evolution of the city's economic and social topography, whose contribution to industrialisation remains little studied and, in part, removed; the relationship between the urban reality understood as a built city (and also ‘dissipating’ the resources of the territory) and the human activities located in it, with particular attention to craftsmanship, trade, tourism and consumption.
