Abstract

Once in the wild, the majority of the introduced species dramatically impacted the indigenous crayfish through either direct or indirect competition and exerted a strong impact on the invaded communities and ecosystems. It thus became pivotal to investigate the ethological traits of alien crayfish that have made them successful invaders to establish appropriate methods for their management.
