Franciscan Observance in Italy

Presentazione delle origini e della prima diffusione conosciuta in Italia dall'Osservanza francescana fra XIV e XVI secolo e presentazione di un modello insediativo, ossia il convento di San Vivaldo in Valdelsa, accompagnato da un sacro monte che costituisce la mimesi di Gerusalemme e reifica un modello del tipico 'pellegrinaggio sostitutivo' alla Terra Santa promosso da questi religiosi all'inizio dell'età moderna. Presentation of the origins and the first known diffusion in Italy of the Franciscan Observance between the 14th and 16th centuries, and presentation of a settlement model, namely the convent of San Vivaldo in Valdelsa, accompanied by a sacred mountain that constitutes the mimesis of Jerusalem and reifies a model of the typical 'substitute pilgrimage' to the Holy Land promoted by these religious at the beginning of the modern age
