In the hospital sector, the attempt to combat the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the acceleration of innovative processes, stimulating the implementation of technological systems necessary to ensure the health and safety of people and the community, to implement the digitization of functions and the flexibility of the environments and integrate the single building within the territorial network and the social and cultural context, for a correct and sustainable relationship between humans and the environment. The evolution of the healthcare system and the corresponding structural, functional and spatial structure can only stem from innovative approaches to the process-product system.
