Every individual, from birth, goes on a formative journey assisted by various play and learning tools that lay the foundations of his thoughts and knowledge and will accompany him for the rest of his life. Institutions such as the family and the school make a decisive contribution to the formation of each person and are therefore called upon to construct a valid educational pathway. This gives rise to the concept of childcare, which not only concerns the indispensable needs of children but a series of positive actions aimed at maintaining the child's well-being, accompanying them in the construction of their identity. Among the strategies currently influential in the development of children and their cognitive processes, we can find the nature-reading pair. In a society that travels at an increasingly frenetic pace, children need to maintain and rediscover the slow pace of nature; where this is impossible, children's literature comes to the rescue, with its ability to recount the beauty and rhythms of nature through storytelling. This work is intended as food for thought to address two fundamental issues: experiencing nature and discovering the world of reading together.
