‘From wallets to UAD’ is a further step ahead since research started two years ago. It seemed too early for many, considering the barely emerging Central Bank Digital Currency(CBDC) debate at the time. In just two years, three projects have already been launched (Sand Dollar, e-Naira and Jam-Dex). In addition, there are several pilot projects underway at the moment. Consequently, we can conduct a preliminary check to explore the importance of where digital currencies and, more broadly, DLT-based tokens are custodied.
