Eleatismo ed elegia dell’originario. Di un motivo benjaminiano in Proust

Muovendo dalla distinzione tra la forma arcaica e quella moderna della memoria, dove il ricordare è una ricerca individuale, il saggio affronta il tema del rapporto tra elegia ed eleatismo nella Recherche proustiana. Questo a partire da un’idea di Benjamin, formulata nel suo saggio su Proust. In questo contesto si affrontano alcuni articoli di neuroscienziati relativi alla nozione proustiana di mémoire involontaire e si conclude richiamando il rapporto costitutivo tra memoria e oblio, già definito da Agostino nelle Confessioni. Starting from the distinction between the archaic and the modern form of memory, where remembering is an individual quest, the essay deals with the theme of the relationship between elegy and eleaticism in Proust's Recherche. This starting from an idea of Benjamin, formulated in his essay on Proust. In this context, some articles by neuroscientists related to the Proustian notion of mémoire involontaire are discussed. The essay concludes by recalling the constitutive relationship between memory and oblivion, already defined by Augustine in the Confessions.
