Sustainable new building type: house and office. Principles and methods for energy-efficient and environmental-friendly buildings. The specific characteristics for each intended use (house, office) will be explained in order to obtain energy-efficient buildings: • The distribution characteristics of the building: - relationship with the construction site; - size of the building; - orientation; - organisation of functional bands; - distribution of accesses and connections; - sizing and distribution of internal spaces; - organisation of façades (e.g. window-to-wall ratio, overhangs). • Relationship between spatial distribution, organisation and choice of load-bearing structure; • Choice of heating-cooling, mechanical ventilation and artificial lighting systems; • Passive cooling; • Exploitation of renewables to produce energy; • Standard solutions for the external envelope (ground floor, roof and external wall) and related performance (e.g. environmental, thermal, acoustic); • Solar shading systems: energy saving and natural lighting comfort and control; • Glazing design: energy saving and lighting comfort and control (configuration of the better solution for the glazing and the frame for a sustainable building considering orientation and climatic zone).

Abstract
Sustainable new building type: house and office. Principles and methods for energy-efficient and environmental-friendly buildings. The specific characteristics for each intended use (house, office) will be explained in order to obtain energy-efficient buildings: • The distribution characteristics of the building: - relationship with the construction site; - size of the building; - orientation; - organisation of functional bands; - distribution of accesses and connections; - sizing and distribution of internal spaces; - organisation of façades (e.g. window-to-wall ratio, overhangs). • Relationship between spatial distribution, organisation and choice of load-bearing structure; • Choice of heating-cooling, mechanical ventilation and artificial lighting systems; • Passive cooling; • Exploitation of renewables to produce energy; • Standard solutions for the external envelope (ground floor, roof and external wall) and related performance (e.g. environmental, thermal, acoustic); • Solar shading systems: energy saving and natural lighting comfort and control; • Glazing design: energy saving and lighting comfort and control (configuration of the better solution for the glazing and the frame for a sustainable building considering orientation and climatic zone).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
